Blanche Bailly |
Hi guys, it feels good to share with you guys again
after such a long break. Well we are so sorry for leaving without letting you
guys know and thanks for always hanging around. We couldn’t make this come back
any lesser as Cameroonian Afro beats sensation and #KamWeStay hit maker Blanche
Bailly shares her story in this very Exclusive interview with Calvino Wallang.
Remember to drop your positive comments bellow.
1.HI BLANCHE
WELCOME TO STEP ON MAGAZINE. YOU KNOW YOU ARE VERY FINEEE RIGHT? I GUESS YOU
HEAR THAT A LOT
Hi. Thanks
for having me on here.
It's an honour .
2. WHO IS
BLANCHE, HOW WILL YOU INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO SOMEBODY MEETING YOU FOR THE FIRST
TIME
Blanche Bailly is a Cameroonian female artist
originally from kumba. I am an independent artist under Cliq media's
Management.
3. WHEN DID YOUR
PASSION FOR MUSIC START AND WHEN DID YOU GO INTO MUSIC FULL SWIM?
I have been passionate about music from childhood
but I got into it fully in 2015 when I released my first single
"Killa"
4. WELCOME BACK
TO CAMEROON BLANCHE BAILLY. DO YOU MIND TELLING US ABOUT YOUR JOURNEY FROM
CAMEROON TO EUROPE AND BACK TO CAMEROON?
Well I left Cameroon at the age of 12. I travelled
to France where my mum lives. After my A level, I decided to move to the UK in
order to pursue my music career. “Afro
beats in London was giving mal hehehe”.
After my first single "killa" ,I started seeing
things differently and I quickly realized that sinceI was targeting Cameroon , I
had to move back which I've done.
5. ARE THERE ANY
SPECIAL CHALLENGES OR FAVORS YOU ENCOUNTER IN MUSIC BEING A WOMAN AND A
BEAUTIFUL ONE TOO?
Well as a woman, the game is tougher. You need to prove yourself!
Generally, the industry is flooded by men and for a
woman you need that extra push.
Beauty helps in the sense that it gets attention:
They wanna hear and see what this beautiful woman has got to offer but then
their interest dies immediately after and their minds fast forwards to what we
all know LOL. It's just difficult to have them fully focused on the art.... the
talent.
6. DO YOU THINK
IF YOU WEREN’T A LADY YOU WON’T BE WHERE YOU ARE NOW IN MUSIC, MAYBE FAR ABOVE
THIS STAGE OR NOT BE AT THIS LEVEL?
Being a lady is definitely NOT what determines my
position. My work does! Weather I were a guy or an alien, if I sat down not
putting in so much effort in what I do , I won't be anywhere close to where I
am.
7. HAVE YOU
RELEASED ANY ALBUMS YET AND HOW MANY MUSIC LABELS HAVE YOU WORKED WITH SO FAR?
7)No album yet.
8. I WASN’T
GONNA LEAVE OUT THIS QUESTION FOR ANYTHING IN THIS WORLD? ACCORDING TO THE
BLAISE B, MR. LEO AND SALATIEL COLLABO ARE YOU A CLANDO? IF NOT MAYBE YOU TELL
US HIS NAME.
Weeh! Unfortunately
I am a Clando. Man go do sep na how eh?
*in Pascal’s voice *
9. WHAT IS THE
NAME OF THE WORST MUSIC PRODUCER YOU’VE WORKED WITH?
Every producer I have worked with so far, be it
abroad or home was amazing in his own unique way.
10. ONE LAST
QUESTION PLEASE, WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF AND YOUR MUSIC IN THE NEXT 7 YEARS?
In the next 7 years. Mehnnnnn I should be a
household international name
PLAYTIME
I have this special something for fine girls, I
always wanna have them around, reasons why I didn’t let Blanche go right after
the interview. Well I tried my luck after learning she is single and searching
or you can say CLANDO (well that is according to Blaise B.) I managed to
squeeze these facts outta her. By the way she didn’t know I was still
recording, but she cool with it tho.
F1. What is your
favorite African dish?
My favourite dish is condri. That's my tribe's dish (Baganté).
F2.Assuming the
following guys coincidentally ask you out on date at the same place and
time who will you choose over the
others?… Stanley Enow, Epule Jeffrey, Mr. Adrenaline, Mr. Leo and Dianee of
Rythmz ?
Haha, what a question. I go bone all man.
F3.If you were
to choose another African country to be born in which would that be?
I'll still choose Cameroon. 237 all day, erday.
F4.What is the
most romantic statement you’ll wanna hear from your man?
I am clueless
F5. Who is your
favorite Cameroonian music artist?
There are just too many of them.
