A guiltless man is incarcerated for killing his boss - a general manager of a company and local political party leader. With the prominence of the murdered victim and pressure coming from every part of the country, a tireless team is put in place to uncover the plot.
SYNOPSIS
VAN NDUMBE is personal assistant of THOMAS ELAME, general manager of
The Dynamic Bag Company. Elame doubles as the local political guru of the ruling party, Cameroon Progressive Party (CPP). Both men share a cordial
relationship until Ndumbe falls in love with his boss's daughter SHIRLEY ELAME. Their relationship is doomed because both Ndumbe and Elame had once shared the same girl; LORETTA NJUME a clerical staff of their company to the latter's chagrin.
On the political front, Elame's chances of winning a second term as head of the regional section of the CPP hangs on a cord. Still serving the final months of his second term of five years, he is bitterly challenged by a new generation of firebrand politicians led by a vociferous business mogul JOHNSON MATUTE. These new generational individuals are resolute in their drive to kick out Elame as local party leader and usher in a change in a system they claim has been mortgaged by the older generation - and they are bent on using any means; even unorthodox ones.
In the mist of these quagmires, Elame's predicaments are short-lived – he is found dead under mysterious circumstances in a hotel room a month after refusing to consent Shirley's engagement to Ndumbe, and he (Ndumbe) is the only one found at the crime scene. Ndumbe is accused of the crime and incarcerated. However many believe Elame’s death is political and has nothing to do with someone who’s marriage intentions are denied. The matter becomes more complicated when the receptionist (JEROME NDIKUM) of the hotel in which Elame is murdered is also killed in the process of selling the in-take of the security camera of events of that fateful day to a mysterious client. With this key evidence unavailable, and the mysterious client unknown, the police is keen on holding Ndumbe as their collateral.
Nevertheless, among the few who are convinced that Ndumbe cannot condescend to murder is Shirley Elame. Determine to prove her man's integrity, innocence and also to avenge her father's murder, she teams up with a smart barrister, LAWRENCE NJOKE and Loretta who seems to know too much for the truth.
This division, fraction and mutual suspicion make the all-powerful CPP vulnerable and pliable to the main opposition party, the Cameroon Democratic Front (CDF). The Chairman of the regional section of the CDF, a cunning and shrewd politician, MOLEMBE ABRAHAM uses this confusion rightly as count down to Parliamentary and Municipal elections narrow. He infiltrates the CPP, encourages decamping and political carpet crossing. Petition writing and constant parading in the corridors of Yaounde become the order of CPP members. Yaounde in its usual style dispatches a commission to Buea as they fear they might loose it to the opposition without a solution to the in house fighting.

In a couple of days one thing leads to another in a spiral that will leave Loretta dead and the new general manager of the dynamic Bag Company, ASHU ARREY arrested as suspect in the dead of his predecessor. Perturb by this new development but still determine to get to the core, Shirley and barrister Lawrence on the one hand while Inspector Ngwa on the other hand continue their investigation until a twist of fate reveal the villain - A lovelorn who is bent on amending a twenty three year old mistake - A maniac who has harbored much hatred for Elame for two decades and had waited for just the right opportunity to strike. His timing could not have been better in retaliating to what he calls injustice done to him in the past…
