Jimmy Fallon Welcomes Second Daughter

The Fallon family just got a little bit bigger. Jimmy and Nancy Fallon welcomed their second child on Wednesday.

"The Tonight Show host, Jimmy Fallon and his wife, Nancy, have welcomed a baby girl," a spokesperson confirmed in a statement to The Press. "Frances Cole Fallon officially entered the world at 8:45AM on December 3rd weighing 5 lbs. 11 ounces and is 18.5 inches long. Their new addition joins big sister, Winnie Rose, 1. The couple opted to keep their baby joy to themselves until their new daughter, Frances Cole, made her official debut. Both Fallon babies were born via surrogate."

The talk show host, and his wife welcomed their first daughter , Winnie Rose, in July 2013 after a five-year struggle to conceive.

"We've tried a bunch of things," Jimmy told the Today show shortly after Winnie's arrival. "Anyone who's tried will know, it's just awful. We tried before, we told people and then it didn't happen and it's just really depressing. It's really hard on everybody."

Fallon continued, "I know people have tried much longer (than we have), but if there's anyone out there who is trying and they're just losing hope… just hang in there… Try every avenue; try anything you can do, 'cause you'll get there. You'll end up with a family, and it's so worth it. It is the most 'worth it' thing."
Jimmy also revealed how Winnie got her name.

"It's not Winnie-the-Pooh at all… though I do love Winnie-the-Pooh," he explained. "My wife and I got engaged in New Hampshire at this lake house that her family's had forever, and it's on Lake Winnipesaukee. And so we went there every summer as we were dating."

Clearly, Winnipesaukee seemed a little long though. "And yeah, Winnie from The Wonder Years is the coolest girl in any TV show ever," he added. "And also, she's a 'win' for us."
We're looking forward to hearing the inspiration behind the name Frances!
