WHAT IF CAMEROON (Stanley Enow) WINS THE MAMA 2014?

I have been wondering for a while now. Each time I think of  a vox pop I watched on Equinoxe TV some months ago. Where the Journalist met a group of Nigerians visiting Cameroon and was trying to get from them some of the Cameroonian artists well known in Nigeria. I felt deeply embarrassed when they mentioned names like Awilo Longomba, to make it worst they were asked if they enjoy Petit Pays’ songs in Nigeria but none of them could remember any such name in their list of celebrities. It’s not as if I am over reacting over a lousy vox pop with these guys whom no one knows which part of Nigeria they are from. I had a chat recently with Le General Toxzik, a Kumba based artist who was amongst the Cameroonian delegation who performed at the funeral service of the late Nollywood Icon Sam Loco Efe in Nigeria. And in the cause of our discussion he told me how embarrassing it was when he requested for a Cameroonian song while in Nigeria amongst Africa's top entertainers and a Congolese music was played. “Not even Petit Pays” he exclaimed bitterly.
I know many of you will be like “why bring this up only now?” Recently we’ve all been in active sensitization and have yielded a lot as people keep on voting for Cameroon’s musical revelation Stanley Enow nominated for the MTV Africa Music Awards (Best New Act) 2014. Yes many have come up with the slogan “Vote now & hate later” which loosely implies Stanley Enow is representing Cameroon and voting for him is voting for Cameroon. But this is a question I am asking directly, if not to the MOTHERLAND EMPIRE I put it straight to the Bayangi Juju himself. “WHAT IF STANLEY WINS THE MAMA 2014?”
