The "Kumba All Star Festival" was marked for Saturday,December,7th,2013 at the Kumba amusement park, but was carried over to the following day for reasons best known to organizers of the "Kumba All Star Festival". Nevertheless, the change of date in no way affected the "grandeur" of the event. Also the massive turnout of the population of over 10000 people baptized the night "takeover night" for the Cameroon Urban Music Association(CUMA) in Kumba.
It was indeed an all star night, where over 50 artists & upcoming artists both from Buea & Kumba performed. It was at about 9pm, when the first artist mounted the Kumba Amusement park esplanade, Don Spaster moved the audience with his "raster man" moves & this paved way for other upcoming artists such as; Young Jerry, HardFire,J macdon,V-Blues, Swag BMG & a host of others. Other big names in the music industry such as; Tata kingue, Dago P, Frank Bebe, Zakary Longmope, Steveslil, Rythm & many others equally made the night worth finger licking. A name that could not be ignored is the famous "Toshi de la Gare", a hiphop dude who moved over a thousand fans off their seats to the stage with each of them having a lighter on flame. Another artist that made himself known, was Steveslil, who did a slower version of the popular "Hein Pere" done by the Bayangi Boy a.k.a Stanley Enow.
Speaking to Step ON magazine, Mr. Terence popularly known as mr. "T", an organizer said "It has been a success, being the very first edition, it came with lots of headache. Another rendez-vous is drawn for next year".
